Our Prayers to the family and wife of Riley. My son Nathan went to A school with him and said he was a stand up guy and a dedicated Corpsman. God Bless the family as you grieve the loss. He will not be forgotten.

Riley was my best friend all the way from boot camp to 2nd MarDiv. He was pumped to be going to Afghanistan, far more than myself. He’s changed my life forever, and will remain in my memories as a brother, not in arms, but as family. God bless you, devil doc.

I was with Golf 2/3 in 1967 in Vietnam as  Marine Infantry,  Any Marine will tell you the best part of the Corps is and was and will always be the Navy Field Corpsmen that have the worst job and the best job..

We old Vietnam era Marines Honor and  remember all our Corpsmen, and now the ones that serve and have served since..

Since 1967 the memories have still not faded, the sacrifices the Corpsmen do is never to be forgotten by the Men that have served with a Corpsmen regardless of the era…

Ryley was a fellow Oregonian to boot, not a 20 mile trip to his family…

    Honor and Sacrifice.

Wyatt and Ryley have been like my brothers for as long as I have known them. We lived 2 houses down and they were over at my house all the time. Everyday. Ryley was there for me in my worst moments. He died a hero in my eyes, my brothers eyes, hell my entire families, eyes. We will never forget you Ryley. I love you man.

I do know this doc.. Because I am one as well. I went to Boot camp, and A School with him. I never served with him.. seeing as we were both brand new to our jobs. My papers got screwed up so I get set back on deployment…. We were suppose to go to the same place, same Division.. same job… Some how I was not there. I wish I could have been. I am sorry to those who knew him best. He was a Good sailor, A Great friend, and an Inspiration to us all.
