Memorial Day 2008. Remember what the weekend is about.

Shipmates, Soldiers, Airmen, Coasties, Marines,
Please take a minute to remember what the day is for. Memorial Day is not just a holiday to drink beer. Take a minute to remember those who have gone before us, and those serving in harms way.

We at Corpsman.com Salute all heroes serving in our Armed Forces as well as those Vets and family members who served before. Bravo Zulu to you all!!

Stay Safe this weekend!! Don’t drink and drive, if you have a problem (I.e Drink to much and have to get somewhere.) Call your duty number or a family member to pick you up. I lost my sister to a Drunk Driver when she was coming back for leave off her ship, the USS McKee. She was minding her own business on the highway when a drunk took her out. I have “NO” sympathy for Drunks who get behind the wheel, none. Call someone.. If you think you might need someone to call then PM me in the Forums and I will give you my cell number and I will get ahold of someone to get you.

Commands would rather help you out and provide a ride then have to deal with a death or a NJP on your return. I promise you, there will be “NO” NJP if you ask for help.
