My son Danny is really tore up about this loss. Benjamin was his best friend since he joined the Navy. Rast as he was called by my son helped him make it thru Corpsman school. Danny was looking forward to going to San Diego at the end of this year where they will once again be stationed together. They were the only two in their graduating class that went to the green side. I am so sad for my son and pray for the Rast family. God Bless them all.
Our prayers are with the family and friends of HN Rast. May he be forever missed and always remembered.

Doc Rast,
Myself and others from our Corps-school class miss ya alot. I think back to all the good times we had up in Great Lakes and over here at camp P. during FMTB. The last time I saw you working at NMCSD when I was up on the floor with a doctor checking on a PT. RIP Doc.
