I have a confession…

I have had a case of the “YIPS” since the beginning of the year.  I have tried to write but just could not get past the first line.  Sure I have posted some articles or put up some pdf’s for you all, but what I like to do most is write.

Well today the wall has broken, Why? Well to be honest, I was at the Ped’s clinic today at the Naval Clinic Great Lakes, with my daughter for a appt, and I was taken care of by the best damn HM’s that have taken care of us in a long time.

Uniforms were sharp, I mean Poster material for Navy Recruiting!

They took care of my daughter who for some reason has another case of Strep, back to back in in as many months.  They treated her with a smile but also took care of the Cranky Retired Chief as well.

But that is not what got me past my “YIP” problem, We started talking about Advancement.

The Department is already studying!  The HM3 who took care of me told me he “WAS” going to make it on the next cycle, no bravado, just told me with matter of fact eyes!

YES!!

I find this frankness is much needed by our Sailors.  If you have the expectation that you are doing all you can to take the test and you expect to be advanced you have already fought half the battle.

What the heck has this to do with our AOTC tonight? Well we will be going over the Bibs for the next test.  If your interested or want to ask questions, then tonight is for you!!
