1. NAVY WIDE PETTY OFFICER (E4 – E6) ADVANCEMENT EXAMINATIONS
The Navy Wide Petty Officer Advancement Examinations for USN, USNR (Active), Full Time Support (FTS), and Canvasser Recruiter (CANREC) will take place on the following dates: E-6 (4 Sep 08), E-5 (11 Sep 08) and E-4 (18 Sep 08). For more information please review the attached NAVADMIN 126/08.

2. FORCE MASTER CHIEF/CPO SELECTEE RUN
As we rapidly approach this year’s Season of Pride, my office has begun preparations for the annual FORCM/CPO Selectee Monument Run. All Command Induction Committee Chairpersons are encouraged to contact HMCM(SW/FMF) Doug Glascoe or HMCS(SW/AW) Jose Esquilin for further information and roster development. Their contact info is listed at the bottom of the page.

3. GOVERNMENT CHARGE CARD TRANSITION
Please review the attached NAVADMIN 162/08. It provides information and guidance on the upcoming transition of Navy Charge Card vendor from Bank of America to Citibank effective 30 November 2008. Current contract that covers Department of the Navy (DON) charge card expires 29 November 2008.

4. FY 09 “C” SCHOOL OPPORTUNITIES
The following is a list of the “TOP 10” C schools that are on the priority list for FY09. PERS 407 is requesting your help filling these important “C” schools. HM-8402 Submarine IDC; HM-8425 Surface IDC; HM-8403 Recon IDC (Must have completed one tour as 8427); HM-8494 Dive Med IDC (Must have completed one tour as HM-8493); HM-8493 Dive Med Tech; HM-8427 Amphibious Recon; HM-8406 Aerospace Med Tech; HM-8485 Psych Tech; HM-8482 Pharmacy Tech; and HM-8432 Preventive Med Tech.
Mr. Jeff Ramsey is accepting packages for ALL NEC’s for FY09. Please review the CANTRAC before submitting completed packages. If a waiver of any type (HYT, Paygrade, etc) is needed, please address this on a 1306/7 and Mr. Ramsey will submit the waiver to the ECM.

5. PERSONNEL PLACEMENT, DISTRIBUTION AND ACCOUNTING WORKSHOP
Navy Personnel Command (PERS-4013) will host the annual Personnel Placement, Distribution and Accounting System Workshop from 21 – 25 July 2008. Please review the attached info sheet for more detailed information.

6. ADVANCEMENT STATISTICS COMPARISON FOR E8/E9
Attached is a spreadsheet comparing Senior and Master Chief Petty Officer advancement opportunities for 2007 and 2008.
